Welcome to Ollie's Place!
Ollie's Place is a cat adoption center in New York City where people can come and meet wonderful adoptable cats in a relaxed, open setting. Founded by Mighty Mutts, a no-kill, not-for-profit cat and dog rescue organization, Ollie's Place is committed to the rescue, care and adoption of homeless cats in New York City. On our website, you can view our adoptable cats, find out about our special programs, get in touch with us, find out ways to help, or sign up for our email newsletter and become part of the Ollie's Place Community!

Andy
His startling green eyes widen as he watches the fake cat tail circle quickly above his head. A cat runs by and he jerks his head to see what is happening. He then regains his focus on the tail and watches as it swirls around and around. A few seconds go by, and then, suddenly, he leaps through the air, does a 360 degree twist to the right and lands on the ground with fake cat tail in-hand!

He is Andy and he is wonderful.

You would never guess that strong, sturdy Andy has the agility of an Olympic gymnast. Usually you can find Andy laying atop the tall scratching post pawing you from behind to get your attention. And when he does get your attention, he rolls on his back and awaits your gentle hand rubbing his belly and gives you a playful nibble.

Andy is estimated to be at least 4 years old and has been at Ollie's Place since he was rescued as a kitten. He is handsome, sweet, and will do acrobatic feats for the satisfaction of catching a fake cat tail...and your attention. These great qualities and, those gorgeous green eyes, make Andy May's Cat of the Month.

Look Who Got Adopted!!
Since our last update, we have seen Ali, Pumpkin, Lara, Angel, Pepper and Jett go to new homes! You will remember that Ali was a featured cat on our site this past winter – it’s so wonderful to see him finally go to a home of his own, and with one of our very own Ollie’s volunteers! You can see pictures and stories of recent Ollie’s Place adoptees on our Happy Beginnings page. And if you have an update on your Ollie’s Place pet that you’d like to share, email us! We’d love to hear from you.
