Happy New Beginnings!

Here are just some of the cats that had their starts at Ollie's Place and have since gone on to forever homes. If you've adopted a cat from Ollie's, we'd LOVE to hear from you! Just drop us a note (and photo!) and let us know how your buddy is doing. Please e-mail it to: info@olliesplace.org. Thanks so much to all of our wonderful adoptors!! We wouldn't be possible without you.

Bubbles

Bubbles

Hi! Bubbles [is] doing great!!! I've had a lot of cats in my life, but he's my favorite. He's so social, talkative, and FUNNY!!  It took awhile to gain his trust, but now we're all buddies.  When we come home he runs to greet us.  When we get out of bed in the morning he runs to the bed to say hello. He used to get up on the dresser and dive bomb the bed in the middle of the night, so we had to move the dresser.  His two favorite places in the apartment are the window where he can sit and watch the squirrels in the tree and soak in the sun and the bed where he can curl up and sleep or attack our feet.  He's such a wonderful cat.  Thanks for all you do!

Lara and Friends

Lara

Lara's first morning in her new home, soaking up the sun from the kitchen window.  Fitting right in; comes when I call her name and gives the dogs and occasional swat when they come too close.  On the other hand, when it is on her own terms she goes nose to nose with them and I even ought her trying to lick Munchkin while she (Munchkin) was sleeping.  I can only imagine in a few weeks she will be running the place.

Tigger says hello as well.

Fred and Jake Fred and Jake

Fred and Jake are the best of friends. When they aren't working on their suntans or watching the world go by from their window sills, they are chasing each other up and down the hallway in the apartment. And, of course, no day would be complete without a couple of wrestling matches. Fred is a total lap cat; so much so that I can't sit down without him jumping up and making himself comfortable. At bed time, Jake just loves to cuddle and purr.

Faith in bed Faith

Faith asked me to send her regards to everyone at Ollie's.  I adopted her in January 2005 during my time as a volunteer.  As you can see--for those of you who have not had the privilege of knowing her--she is a very expressive cat.  (Interestingly, she was the prior tenant in Claire's crate, and their affects are not dissimilar.)  I like this photo because it reminds me of the Big Bad Wolf disguised as Little Red Riding Hood's grandma, lying in wait in grandma's bed.

Huggy Bear

Hi, I'm Huggy Bear and I am a 5 year old tabby. Some of you might remember me, I was a favorite to many. Despite the fact that I was loved by volunteers and visitors alike, I was at Ollie's Place for over a year (the one who had been there the longest at the time) before my forever family found me. Now I'm living the good life on the Upper West Side and loving my new cat playmates.

Bunny

Hi I'm Bunny. I didn't make too much of an impression when I was at Ollie's Place, I was very shy and mainly stayed in the back of my crate with my cage mate Wilma. But now I see the world outside the crate and I've become quite the Queen Bee. I love all the attention people give me, since I'm about the size of a six month old kitten and I'm really 4 years old. I now happily live on my throne (aka my forever Mom's pillow) on the Upper West Side.

Kizzy

Hi, I'm Kizzy, or as some of you might remember me, Tapioca. I love my new home and my forever Mom and my feline brother Gus. When I'm not busy running around playing I like to lay on my Mom's bed, and sometimes I even let my brother put his paw around me and give me kisses.

Athena

I'm Athena, one of the most lovable and affectionate cats that came from Ollie's. I loved to put my water in my bowl and shake it at unsuspecting vistors to get their attention. Now I reside in Washington Heights with a cat rescued by Bruce. I love to play and cuddle with my new brother and snuggle at night with my forever dad.

Eve

Hello, I'm Eve. I made a big impression while at Ollie's Place, I didn't really like my feline friends and I let them know. Now I'm home and couldn't be happier. I am the queen of the castel in my home. I spend the day basking in the sun, playing with my toys, and catching some zzzzzzz's.
